susanna and her godmother lainey, who gave her a
strand of pearls (real pearls!, susanna likes to remind me) that her
godmother had given to her for her first communion a few decades ago
the whole group, including susanna's great-grandmother
margie, who celebrated her 94th birthday the day after susanna's 7th
birthday
two items worth pointing out: one, we finally got liam to smile in
this one. he seems to think his smile looks "awkward" -- whatever that
means. and two, please notice (and marvel at) the beautiful floral arrangement in
susanna's hair, which cost more than some of the clothes we were wearing
